Scams Impacting the Financial Industry
Scammers are currently actively targeting banks across the country, using phone spoofing to target some business customers. Callers pose as bank staff in an attempt to steal online banking credentials or authorization codes. They may use real, publicly available details to sound legitimate. If you receive such a call, hang up immediately. Do not trust the caller ID. Independently call the bank using a known, trusted number.
